Dental Implants

Dental implants are changing the way people live. They are designed to provide a foundation for replacement teeth that look, feel, and function like natural teeth. The person who has lost teeth regains the ability to eat virtually anything, knowing that teeth appear natural and that facial contours will be preserved. Patients with dental implants can smile with confidence.

Wisdom Teeth

Wisdom teeth are the last teeth to erupt within the mouth. When they align properly and gum tissue is healthy, wisdom teeth do not have to be removed. Unfortunately, this does not generally happen. These poorly positioned impacted teeth can cause many problems. When they are partially erupted, the opening around the teeth allows bacteria to grow and will eventually cause an infection. The pressure from the erupting wisdom teeth may move other teeth and disrupt the alignment of teeth. The most serious problem occurs when tumors or cysts form around the impacted wisdom teeth. Early removal is recommended to avoid such future problems and to decrease the surgical risk involved with the procedure.

Oral Surgery

Oral and maxillofacial surgery requires additional years of hospital-based surgical and anesthesia training after graduation from dental school. As oral and maxillofacial surgeons, the doctors manage a wide variety of problems relating to the mouth, teeth and facial regions. Our doctors practice a full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery with expertise ranging from dental implant surgery and wisdom tooth removal to corrective jaw surgery. This also includes techniques designed to rebuild bone structure with minimal surgical intervention and optimal patient comfort. We can also diagnose and treat facial pain, facial injuries, and fractures.

I was very scared and in pain going in for an extraction after being referred from another dentist . The receptionist who took my call was amazing and understood I couldn’t wait for this broken tooth to come out. She booked me the first spot of the day the next day. The assistant was wonderful and I was so nervous . The Dr. Numbed me up very well with only three pokes in the mouth and some gas. Closed my eyes counted to ten he was done. I was amazed . I literally cried tears of relieve and gratitude. Thank you so much to everyone who works at the New Britain office!!!

I received excellent care! Dr. Berkly was very kind, funny and professional in explaining the process of the procedure which helped tremendously to ease my anxiety about removing my wisdom teeth. With nurse Jackie’s help, Dr. Berkly removed three of my wisdom teeth. He was gentle and quick with the removal and the quality of his work testifies to his skill and experience as a surgeon. I felt close to no pain after the surgery! Though he prescribed pain medicine, I didn’t need it. For the first two days after surgery I took over the counter 200 mg Advil to alleviate some discomfort and that was all! Thank you Dr. Berkly for making what would have been a stressful and uncomfortable time, a painless one!

I had an infected wisdom tooth extracted. April was amazing. Dr. Berkley was knowledgeable, experienced, detailed, extremely informative, and answered all questions. He was finished so quickly just like a pro. He is the epitome of a perfect doctor. I highly recommend. I gave 4 stars on staff bc the front desk can be a bit more humble and smile a bit, it makes a huge difference on how the front desk staff greets and treats patients anywhere. A bit of kindness goes a long way way. Again I would highly recommend as the doctor and staff in the back are top notch! Also the office if very clean.
